Quite a long river coming out just north of Douglas in Groudle Glen. The Glen sees a lot of foot traffic and the fish seem to have got used to it. Certainly the river is stuffed with fish in all sizes. They can be caught from the path without the need for waders. Wellies are at least recommended though.
For rod length, choose something small. Very small and expect bow and arrow casting, especially if you get above the Glen and into Molly Quirks Glen above.
